There’s something about the quiet beauty of a North Carolina marsh that has always drawn me in. The open fields, soft grasses, and warm light create a peaceful feeling that I wanted to capture in this painting.
With Southern Marsh, I wanted to focus on that beautiful moment when the landscape seems to glow as the sun moves across the fields. I love using strong colors and expressive brushwork to take a familiar landscape and make it feel a little more alive and personal.
